Judge Suspends Highway Police from Using Highway in Fog After Stopping (ATC)

Two patrolling police officers have reportedly been suspended by the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) after they reportedly refused to let a judge from the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) use the Sialkot-Lahore Motorway (M-11) during foggy conditions.

The M-11 highway was closed to traffic three days ago due to poor visibility brought on by fog, according to sources. The ATC Judge’s official vehicle and his security protocol escort, however, forced their way onto the highway close to the Muridke interchange at about 8:30 AM.

Due to this, the judge’s convoy was stopped at the next interchange by two NHMP patrolling officers, Shakir Ali and Haider Ali, who fined him for breaking the law and putting other people’s lives in danger by driving in low visibility.

On social media, a video of the incident that showed Judge’s snobbish behavior was widely circulated.
